BEHIND THE CAMERA
I’m Chantelle: an eclectic, adventurous native Texan seeking beautiful souls and sights for my lens.
I first found a passion for photography when I took my camera to a concert in 2009. Concert photos have a way of capturing energy and motion that just grabs you; I was immediately hooked. Music remains a major part of my life, and photography right along with it. I co-founded Static Magazine in 2013, a music outlet that I still contribute to today.
Concerts — always unexpected, and always full of life — taught me to appreciate candid photography. Between the stage lights and the musicians it also taught me how to capture some intense, uncontrollable situations. So I naturally progressed into weddings, where candid opportunities are endless. Where moments are organic, crazy, and last but a split second. A runaway ring bearer, a groom’s raw emotion, an epic limbo contest: I'm there to make sure your memories stick.
My photography also transfers to portraiture, where I get to be a little more careful and deliberate in creative posing to capture your truest beauty. That remains my ultimate goal across all my work: to show what’s true. You’ll see sharpness and rich color in my photos that make you feel as if you’re in the middle of the scene itself. My portfolio is continually growing with new subjects and new destinations while remaining true to my brightly crisp, colorful, authentic style.
My work has been published by Jackson Guitar, McGraw-Hill Education, Texas Inked, Bliss Bridal, Austere and Prosthetic Records. Outside of photography, I love antique shopping, playing guitar, traveling, gardening and giving back. I volunteer at a local shelter, taking photos of dogs to help them find homes.
Weddings, engagements, bridals, families, landscapes, concerts, four-legged friends and more; whatever brings joy to your life, I want to help you remember it forever. I’m available for bookings in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and Houston (with no travel fees) and will travel just about anywhere else you’re willing to help me get to!
" Chantelle was the most flexible and most accommodating vendor that we worked with for our wedding. She did our engagements, my bridals, and our wedding. Each of those unique photo shoots turned out way better than I could have imagined! She worked with me to get the exact package of shoots that I wanted, it was totally customizable! She even brought in a second photographer to work with her and he was so helpful! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chantelle! "

" We had spent 15 months planning the most amazing outdoor wedding ever. Then we met with Chantelle and hired her before the meeting was even over. She was great! Down to earth, interesting, excited about her job. She asked lots of questions, figuring out just what type pictures were important to us, planning all the places on our property we wanted to use. Then the day before my wedding, the rain began. Eleven inches in 24 hours. Every plan had to change. Our great picture ideas, not possible. Then, Chantelle shows up, telling us she has come up with some new ideas. After our ceremony she took the most amazing picture ever. A kiss, under the umbrella, clouds in the sky, raindrops falling, the hay bales in our pasture seen in the distance. If this would have been the only photograph we had of the whole wedding, it would have been worth it! But it wasn't all. We also got wonderful pictures of the whole day. It was an A+ job, way beyond our expectations! "
